Meet the Serendipity Team
I have been living in Auroville since 2008 and when I am asked why, the answer is that this is the place where I feel at home. And I know my home quite (ask me anything, I’ll find your way in Auroville); in fact, being a very curious person with lots of passions and interests, got me involved in many projects and areas of Auroville during the past years. In Serendipity Community, I am mainly working with administration, reception, and cooking. My main passion is to travel and experience nature in the world with my beautiful life companion Stefania. Fortunately enough, even though we work happily hard, we also get the possibility to have loooong happy adventurous vacations. Smile 🙂
I must say that every single day that passes, I feel extremely grateful for being in Auroville as that has given me the chance of knowing and being touched by Sri Aurobindo and Mother’s vision and revelation. Everything has changed since then: new eyes were born and a new vast reality opened up together with an expanded and widened dimension full of colours, blooms, and grace.
I have many interests and a lot of curiosity and willingness to learn, experience and discover always new things. I find amazingly enriching to meet new people and to share paths together. These are the reasons why I love the dynamic, joyful, creative and diverse atmosphere that we are manifesting in Serendipity Community.

I grew up in Koot Road, a village next to Auroville. After high school I continued my studies in AIAT, an Auroville outreach school, where I first got in touch with Auroville. After my studies I went to work in Wellpaper, a social enterprise which works for the cause of women empowerment and use of Eco-friendly materials. There I slowly discovered the social and cultural diversity of the community. I loved the friendly environment in the workplace, based on what I felt is a non hierarchical system. I learned how to drive a cycle and a scooter and that gave me the freedom to explore and feel independent. I joined my husband who was already living in Auroville and decided that I was also ready to embark on the adventure of becoming myself part of the community.
I appreciate being surrounded by people coming from all over the world and learning each day something new about myself and others.

Born in Yugoslavia, raised in Croatia, went to University in Italy. Sara found that there is much more in life then what it seems; stars and clouds where seen as messengers of the infinite…one day the pull and push and call was so strong that she embarked to a Journey: Auroville – Integral Yoga.
She’s been living here since 2008; she found home, family, friends and a lot to explore. She has been working in different services, farms, forests and engaged in communication with Volunteers from all over the world.

Jaibal is the best gardener one can ever desire. He used to work in a farm for many many years so his experience in local farming is put very much into use in our small vegetable kitchen garden. Jaibal is also useful and skilful as handyman in a lot of other little works in Serendipity, but most important of all, he is a very playful and cheerful man.
Manjjula is our six-handed “shakti”: she maintains our Guesthouse clean and in a beautiful shape. We are glad to have her as a part of the Serendipity family. Her commitment and sincerity along with her beautiful smile brings even more Joy to Serendipity Community Guesthouse.
I am from Italy and my first visit to Auroville was in 2007, since then every year I have been coming for a visit. Last year I finally decided to join Auroville … I’m very happy to be here and to have the opportunity to live a simple & healthy life. It is great to be able to experience myself in so many ways, realizing my dreams and my passions …
