Tibetan Bowls – Sound Healing with Pratik
Tibetan singing bowls are crafted from a blend of metals, each carefully tuned to produce unique harmonic sounds. When played, these bowls generate vibrations that interact with the body’s energy field, encouraging a meditative state and fostering overall well-being. The practice is based on the principle that everything in the universe, including the human body, is in a state of vibration. Disruptions or imbalances in these vibrations can lead to stress, illness, and discomfort. By aligning the body’s frequencies through sound, Tibetan bowl healing seeks to restore harmony and vitality.
What to Expect in a Class
- Introduction and Intention Setting:
Classes often begin with a brief introduction to the history and purpose of sound healing. Participants are encouraged to set personal intentions for the session, such as relaxation, emotional release, or physical healing.
- Guided Relaxation:
Instructors lead a short breathing exercise or meditation to help participants settle into the space and prepare for the sound experience.
- Sound Bath Experience:
The practitioner plays the bowls by gently striking or rubbing their rims. Participants lie down or sit comfortably, allowing the sounds and vibrations to wash over them. The tones are believed to activate brainwave states similar to deep meditation, enhancing relaxation and promoting healing.
- Closing and Reflection:
The session concludes with a grounding exercise, allowing participants to gradually return to full awareness. Reflection time is provided to discuss experiences and sensations.
